Yes, I've applied all the service packs. The fact that it crashes out doing the same thing, adding custom controls to a view makes me think that I either have something not configured correctly on my wss, or I am missing something in my installation of SPD. I've only added custom controls once before, and we ended up scrapping it for other reasons. It was quite some time ago, and a different PC than I am using now

However I have downloaded a copy of SPD to another computer and the same thing happens. There are no event ID's associated with this showing on the wss server, but I get an eventid of 1000 on my computer when SPD crashes Can anybody help?
