Hello, Is it possible to implement a custom field type to store text/string longer than 255 characters and have the field sortable in views and CAML queries ?
The regular TEXT field is sortable but limited to 255 characters. Multiline text fields and HTML fields are actually based on the NOTE field type which allows storing longer strings but that field type is not sortable.
