Do you get this error when running the workflow or when you try to deploy the workflow to the SharePoint site? If you receive this when deploying the workflow then make sure you have the correct SharePoint site selected in VS2008 project properties. Apparently, there’s a workaround for this glitch you might want to try: 1. Log into the site where the list lives 2. Enter the list settings, click ‘workflow settings’ 3. Add a workflow from within here first Then try again in VS2008.... Interested in knowing if this fixes the issue. You might also want to make sure you aren’t referencing the site using HYPERLINK "http://localhost"http://localhost, but rather, the correct name that maps to the website (HYPERLINK "http://intranet"http://intranet for example).
