Hi Rave

Do you get this error when running the workflow or when you try to deploy the
workflow to the SharePoint site?

If you receive this when deploying the workflow then make sure you have the
correct SharePoint site selected in VS2008 project properties. VS2008 deploys
workflows directly from Visual Studio so you need to enter a valid URL in the
projects properties.

cheers

Clayton James

I did add a Workflow from the Workflow Settings & then tried in VS2008, same
issue..

I tried both the URL's (i.e. HYPERLINK "http://testpc"http://testpc (in my
case) & HYPERLINK "http://localhost"http://localhost) still the same issue.

I did find few articles on the net mentioning about Alternate Access Mappings
from the Central Administration > Operations, did try, but the same issue...

What URL are you using for the site?

Apparently, there’s a workaround for this glitch you might want to try:

1. Log into the site where the list lives

2. Enter the list settings, click ‘workflow settings’

3. Add a workflow from within here first

Then try again in VS2008....
Interested in knowing if this fixes the issue.

You might also want to make sure you aren’t referencing the site using
HYPERLINK "http://localhost"http://localhost, but rather, the correct name that
maps to the website (HYPERLINK "http://intranet"http://intranet for example).

Subject: [OzMOSS] Sharepoint Sequential Workflow in VS2008

I've setup a single-server dev machine of MOSS and installed VS2008.
I have configured a new Site collection & Shared Services Provider.

I have a custom list created, I'm able to create workflow out of the box for
the list, but When I try to create a Sharepoint 2007 Sequential Workflow in
VS2008, I get the following error:

"SharePoint site location entered is not Valid"

The site does exist….

Thanks
Rav
