Hi Tommy,
We've recently set this up in our environment as well, however the security is working perfectly. If a user doesn't have access to a folder on a network share, they can't search files in that folder. From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Steve Peter Sent: Wednesday, 20 August 2008 3:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [OzMOSS] FILE SYSTEM SEARCH PROBLEM Hi all, I really-really need help on securing search results which source is based on a file share. Therefore, user that is not meant to have access to particular files/folders should not see the indexed files in the results. At the moment I don't know how to do it. I know how to index file shares using MOSS search but I don't know how to secure the search results so that it only returns the documents which a user has access to. If you index Sharepoint sites, no problem...search results will display items from Sharepoint sites which user has access to but this doesn't happen with file share indexing. Any help will be appreciated.
