I've seen tools out there (powershell based) that move SharePoint Wikis to new
SharePoint wiki libraries and even that was quite complexed due to the
hyperlinks within the Wiki Page being stored on a special Properties Bag on the
List Item.

With that in mind, I would suspect all pages from media wiki would need copying
over in isolation and then scan all the hyperlinks on each page and remap them
to the new urls. It really does depend on how complex the wiki pages are in
terms of linking to each other and also whether there's any media attachments
on the pages e.g. images, flash/wmv files etc. With this in mind, you may find
even if there is a tool out there it's never going to work 100% and you'll end
up manually chopping it all up anyway!

Subject: Re: [OzMOSS] MediaWiki migration to SharePoint

If there are none out there then you could build your own migration tool -
that's if you can programmatically get to the MediaWiki data using custom .NET
code - you could then create Wiki pages in SharePoint using SharePoint OM Code.

BUT - if it's just 100 pages and this is the only MediaWiki migration you are
ever likely to do then I would tell the client to do it manually as it will
likely take less time and effort then developing a tool to migrate the pages.

OR - you can build the MediaWiki to SharePoint Wiki migration tool and put it
up onto CodePlex for others to share :)

Did someone try to migrate MediaWiki to sharepoint?!

Client has about 100 pages in mediawiki and going to start manual page-by-page
migration all pages to sharepoint wiki sites.

I tried to find any tools, but everything I found were FlexiWiki import tool
from CKS, albeit there were mention that these guys are working on other wiki
engines tools (including mediawiki) to export them.

But I found nothing else except those proposals.
