I'd try inherit
Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.WebControls.CoreResultsWebPart (or reference
it server side) - then dynamically build the fixed query internally, and use
the SPWeb.CurrentUser to build the "author:X" text.

I did read somewhere though - I think it was an article about building a
custom advanced search box, where he provided a fixed query and it accepted
[Me]?

Subject: [OzMOSS] Username keyword in sharepoint

Hi,

I am using the Search Core Results webpart and utilising a fixed keyword
query.

I need to return all content for the current user.

My current keyword query is: author:machinename\Administrator

This works great, however, I do not want to hardcode the username. I want it
to pick up the user currenty logged in. Does anyone know how this can be
done?
