My First Time. Be gentle 8^)
First I have a publishing site collection with multiple sub sites and or pages. I have created a centralised Document Library, I want to have all the document upload web parts deposit in this centralised location. What is the best way to do this. I have not been able to add the newly created document library Web part to the sub sites, do I need to export / import it? Second, and related to the first point I use Data View Web Parts that contain a unique identifier, the results on the SharePoint page are filtered according to this ID. I want to tag (metadata) uploads from these various pages with this ID, without creating a custom Web part or requiring user input, is there an easy way to do this with the existing SP toolkit, as my dev skills are still under construction. Any assistance or thoughts would be appreciated.
