The app has to be based on a theme which won't be released until the competition actually starts in a month (so you've got plenty of time to free up your calendars). The comp is exclusively for Australian developers, and there's some pretty cool prizes for the best app (a trip to Vegas, tix to MIX 2009, Xbox's etc.) Check out the site - there's a great intro video (crank up the volume - the sound is awesome) - it only plays the first time you hit the site, but you can also download from the "resources" area (or clear your cookies and watch it again - I've seen it about a hundred times over the last month and am still not tired of it - although his teeth are too good for a developer! ).
