Cool – I look forward to it. I wonder if something similar is possible with
OneNote…

Well, those plans have begun with your mail :)

Actually I currently have not started testing Office 2007, but soon will and
this addin should be the first experiment to see how Word interop has improved
(I hope it has). Other platforms probably will have to wait as I have projects
that will start right away and direct responsibities takes most of the time.
But if I get enough "free" time, I'll make sure to explore other possibilities.

Currently though I'm waiting for feedback from people in my organization to see
how they want TeamWord to evolve. And only then I will be able to tell how
exactly things will go.

Subject: [OzTFS] TFS and Word integration - TeamWord

Hello!

Just wanted to give a little publicity to my creation - TeamWord.
Whole story and download is located at
http://knagis.miga.lv/blog/2006/11/23/teamword-10beta/

Quote:
TeamWord is add-in created with .NET 2.0 for Microsoft Word 2003 to enable
users (analytics, programmers, project managers etc.) that use Microsoft Team
Foundation Server for work item tracking to use Word as the front-end for
editing work items. TeamWord allows user to insert work item directly in an
existing document, thus allowing tracking work item status from the place of
their origin.
For example - when writing a meeting summary, you can add a work item for each
problem, each of it in a different Team Project, assign these work items to the
corresponding persons etc. And after that, to see if everything has been done,
you don’t have to open up Team Explorer or other application - just open the
same Word document and it will load all information for these work items right
back in your document.

As far as I know, it is the first product to allow such thing - there is
another software that integrates Word with TFS but last time I checked, it
didn't allow you to add WI to an existing document and also missed some other
features mine has ;)
I hope that someone will find this little add-in useful (and will say thanks) :)
