Hi Dennis,

thank's heaps for the post and link. Nope, i've not seen Heath's blog but
that post of his will definately come in hand for our Infrastructure Team
(which handles all hardware, software, licenses, etc.).

That post didn't mention anything about Team Explorer, but you're suggesting
(from what i think i just read Heath suggest) that it's possible to slipstrim
most things that use the windows installer.

so then it could be possible to slipstream T.E. into Vs2005 and THEN slipstream
SP1 into that?

ooo ... anyone else?

Hey Justin,

Have you seen this blogpost [1] from heath? Not sure if that covers Team
Explorer too, but I think the steps involved are similar, around they?

Regards,
Dennis

        Hi folks,
now that visual studio 2005 SP1 has been released a few weeks ago, a
few of us at work are wondering if you slipstream sp1 into a normal vs2005
image, do you have to REAPPLY the service pack if you install team explorer
afterwards?

can u slipstream team explorer into a base vs2005 image and THEN
slipstream sp1 afterwards?

The reason I'm asking this is because if i can think back to when i
applied sp1 on my machine after the first long install part (which did the base
vs product) I was later shown a second install wizard which i think patched
team explorer ... well .. I'm sure it was something to do with Team Explorer ..
:)

So is anyone in the position to answer my questions?

        cheers :)
