Thanks for your replies,
Grant, The Team Build Service and the TFS app pool both run as the same identity, and it has access to the drop folder (it also works most of the times)... William, Thanks for the tip, I have upped the verbosity so now I just hope it fails again soon J /Niels From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Grant Holliday Sent: 12. marts 2007 23:04 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [OzTFS] MSBUILD : warning : Publish operation failed. Are the Team Build and the TFS Service accounts different? I think you'll find that you need to give the TFS Service accounts access to the DROP directory so that it can pull the results into it's store. (This is in the Team Build setup docco, but it's fairly obscure) Regards, GH From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of William Bartholomew Sent: Tuesday, 13 March 2007 8:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [OzTFS] MSBUILD : warning : Publish operation failed. Try increasing the logging verbosity... You will need to edit the file TFSBuild.rsp and add the text /v:d for detailed logging or /v:diag for diagnostic logging. Hi guys, Sometimes(!) my build fails with the message " MSBUILD : warning : Publish operation failed." If I rerun the build it succeeds. I haven't been able to find any pattern or steps to reproduce, and there's nothing in the event viewer. I first thought it was file deployment that failed, but now I suspect the publishing of test & build results. Any ideas? Maybe where I can find more detailed info?
