We also ping TFS web service and check the result code.

Sometimes TFS "freezes", it returns "http error code 500 - server busy" for
example.

There is no obvious reason for that error, all logs are fine and there is no
users at all, but still.

We've decided to ping TFS web service every 10 minutes.

An example of URL we ping:
http://tfs_server:8080/WorkItemTracking/WorkItem.aspx?artifactMoniker=1302,
where 1302 is a work item's id.

We are using Argent (http://www.argent.com/) to monitor server's hardware,
event logs and space. IPMonitor (ipmonitor.com) is used to monitor the web
service.

Subject: [OzTFS] TFS Risks ???

HI Folks,

I prepared documents to monitor and keep TFS healthy on our
environment, and I can conclude the findings on below points:

1) Keep SQL services running.

2) Monitor TFS cache services / Event Log.

3) Network connectivity should be available between the developers and
TFS server.

4) SMTP & Active directory & Exchange server connectivity.

Is there any other things which I missing from the list above to set it as a
risk for TFS server.
