Paul - I think you'll find that this is a limitation of the MSSCCI Provider and
I wouldn't expect it to change in future releases.

I know that if you use the 'Pending changes' toolbox to type your comments in,
it will remember them and pre-populate the TFS checkin dialog. But this doesn't
help your situation.

Subject: [OzTFS] Checking in files in different projects using MSSCCI provider
causes multiple changesets

Hi All,

My organisation has started migrating .NET 1.1 applications to TFS and so we
are using the MSSCCI provider for the first time. I've noticed some rather
undesirable behaviour where attempting to check in two files that sit in
seperate projects will result in two seperate TFS checkin dialogs appear one
after another. If I want to associate with a workitem, I had to do so each
time, and my history ends up with two changesets. Obviously this can get very
tiresome when checking in against 3 or more projects.

Are there any solutions or workarounds for this issue? Its hard to encourage
developers to associate their checkins with work items when they have to tick
the same box several times for what should be a very simple operation.

Thanks,
Paul Batum
