Thanks Wes and Wil. It would appear that the BisSubscribe will contain the functionality I require. I'll check out the suggested power tools as well.
Cheers! ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of William Bartholomew [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 28 March 2008 11:50 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [OzTFS] Email notifications in TFS Hi Steven, I actually blogged recently about how to filter build completion emails using the BisSubscribe utility but the process would be very similar for work items: http://blogs.teamsystemnotes.com/2008/03/17/filtering-build-completion-emails/ If you do a search for BisSubscribe you should be able to find a number of articles with example filters, what you might be after though is simply this: http://ozgrant.com/2006/12/08/tfs-email-alert-for-a-new-work-item/ William Bartholomew Productivity Specialist - Software Engineering Financials | Human Resource & Payroll | Supply Chain | Business Intelligence | Budgeting | Property & Rating | Performance Planning | Student Management | Works & Assets | Enterprise Content Management | Custom Software Development | Consulting Services Phone: +61 7 3377 7566 | Fax: +61 7 3377 7301 | Mobile: +61 403 828 029 Address: 67 High Street, Toowong QLD 4066 (PO Box 1078 Toowong QLD 4066) Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Web: www.TechnologyOneCorp.com<http://www.technologyonecorp.com/> TechnologyOne (ASX: TNE) is a leading enterprise software solutions provider with offices in each State and Territory of Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. My short term specific problem is that we are moving from a process of having developers/tests email their problems via a mailing list that goes to all infrastructure staff, to a process where they just log their issues in TFS. However I want to ensure all infrastructure staff see ALL new work items (even if that means still hitting the same email alias we used previously). This will help with the transition from old to new. Long term, I’d like to be able to provide better opt in facilities to TFS notifications. The 4 default items just aren’t enough, and different areas want different types of information.
