Thanks Wes and Wil.
It would appear that the BisSubscribe will contain the functionality I require.
I'll check out the suggested power tools as well.

Cheers!

Hi Steven,

I actually blogged recently about how to filter build completion emails using
the BisSubscribe utility but the process would be very similar for work items:
http://blogs.teamsystemnotes.com/2008/03/17/filtering-build-completion-emails/

If you do a search for BisSubscribe you should be able to find a number of
articles with example filters, what you might be after though is simply this:

Subject: [OzTFS] Email notifications in TFS

Hi all,

Can anyone point me to some good resources around expanding on the email
notifications provided in TFS?

My short term specific problem is that we are moving from a process of having
developers/tests email their problems via a mailing list that goes to all
infrastructure staff, to a process where they just log their issues in TFS.
However I want to ensure all infrastructure staff see ALL new work items (even
if that means still hitting the same email alias we used previously). This will
help with the transition from old to new.

Long term, I’d like to be able to provide better opt in facilities to TFS
notifications.
The 4 default items just aren’t enough, and different areas want different
types of information.

Cheers,
Steven
