HI all,

I am creating a custom WIT template and am having some troubles with the
use of the <READONLY /> field rule.

What I would like to be able to do is have various fields appear as
read-only to the user, but have them system populated based on things
like currentuser and clock.

It seems that if I use the <READONLY /> field rule then it means it's
read-only for both the user and the system? Is this correct?

An example of some XML follows.

            <FIELD refname="mynamespace.Testing.RaisedBy">

              <COPY from="currentuser" />

              <VALIDUSER />

              <READONLY />

            </FIELD>

So that the field is populated by the system using the currentuser, and
not allow the user to change it's value.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,
