In these situations, I always advise people to use the "Manage network passwords" control panel UI in WinXP (can't remember what it is called in Vista) to simply store the passwords for the remote servers. Once you have stored the password for your TFS server and build server once, you won't be queried again. (If the password expires, you simply update one of the machines and it is smart enough to change the stored credentials for all other machines in the same domain.)
In terms of your question - having TFS pass the credentials - this isn't really an option. The "completed build UI" is displaying a UNC path link that is resolved by the local developer machine - not TFS.
