List Serv members,
I decided to forward you this e-mail I received regarding my upcoming
travel. Since all of you are talented teachers, I encourage you to apply.
The opportunity that is referred to in the first paragraph is a three week
all-expense paid trip to Japan. The application process is not that
difficult. It involves answering questions such as why you want to
participate, your teaching experience, and what you will do in your
classroom when you return.
Also, if there is anyone on this list serv who has already participated
in
this, would you please e-mail me off-line with any pre-travel advice?

Kristi

Dear November JFMF participant:

I hope your preparations for your trip are coming well. I am writing now
about
the 2007 JFMF competition. The 2007 JFMF application is available online
and we
are excited to offer educators from your school district another opportunity
to
participate in the program. In 2007, up to 400 teachers and administrators
will
be selected to participate in this wonderful opportunity. The success of
the
JFMF program relies on the active participation and support of all our past
participants, and we ask for your help in spreading the word about the
program
before you leave for Japan yourself.

The JFMF application is again offered online for the 2007 competition via
our
website at www.iie.org/jfmf - the deadline is December 7, 2006. Please
encourage your friends and colleagues to visit the official JFMF website at
www.fulbrightmemorialfund.jp for more information about the program.

If you would like any promotional materials to pass out to your colleagues,
or
if you plan to attend upcoming educational conferences or meetings, please
email
us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or call 1-888-527-2636. We would be happy to provide
materials to you at your request.

Your cooperation and help in promoting the 2007 JFMF opportunity are greatly
appreciated! Good luck with your preparations, and I look forward to
meeting
you in November!

Sincerely,

Susan Gundersen
