Nancy Atwell has a new one out called The Reading Zone, and I just found a book called Writing Through the Tween Years, Supporting Writers, Grades 3-6 (might be a good companion to Teri's book from last year).

If I'm messing around online trying to figure out which Connecticut Sun (WNBA) games I want to go see, then summer must be coming (yay) despite the frigid temperatures and new snow. In past years, some of us on literacyworkshop.org have banded together to do some sort of summer reading together. Last year, for example, we read "Naked Reading" by Teri Lesesne, and were fortunate enough to get Ms. Lesesne to join in our discussion. So I was wondering what titles people might want to propose for summer reading this year? I am always willing to try to contact authors and invite them along, but obviously I can't guarantee everyone will be as gracious as Teri Lesesne was. I look forward to your suggestions! Take care, Bill _______________________________________________ The Literacy Workshop ListServ http://www.literacyworkshop.org To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/lit_literacyworkshop.org.
