The students had to follow the format below: I spy ____________________, __________________________;
__________________________, __________________________. They were told to type in Times New Roman in 16 inch font, and to have the poem on the bottom two inches of pages. Students were to have the end of the first and second lines rhyme, and the third and fourth rhyme. Each line was to have four beats to it. My students did not have "equal" rhymes as the amount of words in a count could vary. Students could draw pictures or cut out pictures from magazines. We took some off the internet and used the digital pics I took. Each student had his/her own page to go in the book. The librarian is going to laminate each page and assemble it into a book which will stay in the library. The kids had a lot of fun doing it. Hope this helps.
