I subscribe to a lot of newsletters. Here's info about an event I thought some of you might be interested in. Participation in the event is free, but I think you have to register first (also free).

The webcast will focus on research-based and promising technology-based approaches to improving outcomes for struggling readers. Assistive and learning technologies that support reading and communicating in the content areas will be featured, related resources will be shared, and practical solutions to common instructional and implementation challenges will be demonstrated. They usually archive this type of thing in case you can't get free for the live event. The archives also have some other interesting literacy topics.
