Magic By Starr.
Gripping the pencil
tightly.
I curved the first letter.
Like a snake.
Again with the second letter.
Making A
Perfect Circle
Holding back
the smiley face
I was craving to write.
And a P
Just a simple Line
With an awkward
circle.
And next I wrote a
wobbly H,
the lines a bit
crooked.
I
3 lines.
One Letter.
E.
Like a door
of a gate.
Beaming proudly
My Preschool Self
showed my teacher
My First Ever
Written Word-
Not Even Knowing
The Magic
I Would Create
10 Years Later.
For this, we were given a rock and had to write an ode
for it. An ode is a celebratory poem or song
commemorating an object, whether big or small.
An Ant's Piano- The Ode to a Rock by Bookwormie, SMS1
A rock so simple,
A rock so small,
A rock so plain,
A rock so drab,
A rock so uninteresting,
It is fascinating.
It is multi-colored-
Silver,
Brown,
Gray,
Stripes of them,
Sort of shiny, too.
Too small for a boulder,
Too big for a pebble,
Too rough for babys skin,
Too smooth for sandpaper,
Too flat for a mountain,
Too high for a good skipping-stone.
But it is wonderful,
With a ridge,
A cliff, to fleas;
Just big enough,
Just the right shape,
For an ants piano.
It is an ants piano,
It is an ants entertainment,
When they play on imaginary keys
And sit on top of it
And sing,
And dance around it like mini ballerinas.
I can hear the music playing,
The great one-rock symphony,
Playing itself with invisible fingers,
Or with the aid of ants,
Pressing down with their legs,
Their thread legs.
Let me play on,
It tells me,
I have more music to play,
More to say,
More to tell the world,
More to share.

A Thank You To....
Aimlis for the comment on
Individuality
And Mr.Turtle for the inspiration
And encouraging words.
Then, there's Gem,
She always knows the patterns
And of course Alice Joey
Who is always remembering.
But don't forget Bookwormie
With her wonderful, detailed thoughts
And CrystalAnnie
Who offered her support.
Bball21,
He always has something nice to say.
And n1ii3k always finds an idea
That she can relate to.
Ftbllkid77 is kind
And optimistic
While C.M from Bonner
Learned something new.
Then Mrs.Famum, the one
Who likes the repetition
And last but not least,
Bill and Keith, the ones who put this together.
Thanks so much for this opportunity,
It was fun while it lasted.
