hi caroline, that is what i thought you meant by the '5 minute' thingy. like my technical terms? lol i was just checking...curious to see if i missed something. i am getting my doctorate in curriculum and instruction because my university does not offer a reading doctorate. i have talked to some of the 'powers that be' and they assure me they are trying to hire professors that can offer the classes by the time i will need them. this is a slow process for me as i teach full time at a high school and part-time at the same university and i conduct research and work on grants and i am working on this year's reading book adoption committee for our school district. so....i can wait...just a little while longer. in the meantime, i am taking the required courses for any major. this year's research will probably be the beginning of my thesis, so i may actually have most of the writing done while i am taking the coursework. as far as grading goes for my district, we are required to submit one grade a week. i try for 2 or 3. last year was difficult because i had so many students. i hope to have 50 less this year (crossing fingers and toes...just in case). :) *\l/**\l/**\l/*Lynn*\l/**\l/**\l/* Doctorate Student, Florida Atlantic University
