Welcome April, We too cannot wait share with you. I teach 6-8th in
multi-age setting in Southern Maine. For ELA I utilize writer's
workshop. Currently my kids have finished interviewing their parents
or grandparents ( it must be someone from a different generation)
about their favorite song from his or her teen years. The person they
interview than uses the same criteria to interview the kids. As my
students have been researching the music presented to them some have
found they actually like Hoagy Carmichael or Luther Vandross! Students
have composed an essay about their experiences and are currently
completing a presentation in KeyNote, Imovie and/or Garage Band to
finalize their work. What are you folks up to there in Virgina?
