I teach eighth grade language arts at a magnet school for gifted and talented.
I have a lot of
short story collections
the kids love: Cormier's "8+1", "12 Shots" is another popular title, although
the author
escapes me at this
moment. I also use Gary Soto's collection "Up the Street" (?) and Eudora
Welty's collection of
short stories. The kids
also enjoy any of O Henry's stories, as well as Saki.

For my teen issues, I use "Body Issues," "Peer Pressure," and "Identity" as
subconcepts for
organizing titles.
Hope this helps.
