Read Anderson's books on grammar and editing. Focus on the top twenty. And
if it is not specifically tested on, and you don't think it matters, LET IT
GO. Our state standards give no guidance to teachers for support in terms
of teaching grammar, spelling, vocabulary, etc. We wrote our own. Our
teachers have only 55 minutes to do it all, so we concentrated on what we
think matters. I will forward this to my school email and send you what we
have drafted and will be using this year.
