My first thought...not sure if this is what you're looking for...is
Polar Express, only because it touches on the North Pole, Santa, and the
possibility of it all being a dream.

How about Miracle on 34th St. for Santa?

Subject: [LIT] wacky kids; book choice?!

Hi!

Continuing in the realm of "Never could have predicted this one..." my
Humanities 7 class has agreed to do an experiment and try creating two
separate but simultaneous units to be done by two different small
groups.
One theme question is "How did the North Pole and Santa evolve?" and the
other is "Is the function of dreaming while sleeping the same as the
function of thinking while you're awake?" Great questions! But, but, and
again but...

Does anyone know of a book I could use as a read-aloud which
incorporates
elements of both questions? or as a group novel? I think it would be
good
for them to share a common experience, but can't think of anything that
would work.

Thanks!

Take care,
