I just got my teaching schedule yesterday and am looking for some suggestions. I am an Academic Intervention Teacher. Because I have taught both Math and ELA they have created a 6th grade class with kids who need help in both areas. Knowing how severely lacking the kids are in these skills I'm trying to find the best way to address them. Our periods are about 40 minutes in length. How would you teach a class like this?
