I'm in agreement on this - even though I know it's possibly a false sense of security (unix worms tend to replace a known good command or app with a bad one) at least it would help me troubleshoot it later.

I would up the ante though: Adding a history - like on what date the request was made - would also be of great help tracking back to incidents and mysterious rules.
