I've just checked the md5sum files on the 3.0alpha3 release, and have
discovered that it didn't download to the osgeo server completely.
Unfortunately I downloaded just before I went on holidays, and the
forgot to check that the download was complete. I'm very sorry about
that. I'll make sure I check next time.
I've started a new download, and expect the files to be available within
24 hours. Please stay tuned.

weeks at which point the current torrent will probably be taken offline.

Just and FYI after keeping the torrent up for 7 days(ish).
My seed shows 51 complete downloads, we had up to 8 seeds but are now
down to 3-4. 2-3 people per day continue to download, so please if you
have a complete copy and can keep a seed up even at 50K/s that would
help, my machine has uploaded 117GB already and I've been lowering my
speed cap to make sure Comcast doesn't get mad at me.
Usual swarm rate as reported by my client has been 250K/s but we did hit
1 MB/s+ when one user with a super connection was on.
Can some check the logs on download.osgeo to see how many downloads of
the vm and iso files have occurred?
