It is also kind of a background; making it busy with stuff is just a pain / distraction :-)
You will find I did commit the osgeo background into our svn (it is much clearer then that included in the website link - it was collected by opening up the sample word template and extracting the raster image as a png file). I would like to ask the marketing group for the original background image - although since this comes from a graphic designer we may not have access to the original.
