this DVD is likely to get a lot of exposure..
I would argue its worth the time of someone to make this small change

Just needed to give it the path to the java it wants instead of calling
straight java which picks the system default. If this causes problems
for lots of packages we can consider running update-alternatives to set
sun java as the default.

Fixed in revision, 3421

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,

I remember we already had a discussion about Java version before the 2.0
release. deegree also needs sun-java, and there were other projects as
well. So I favour to dump openJDK and get Sun-Java in versions 1.5 and
1.6 onto the DVD by default.

Kind regards,
Judit

Yes Judit,
Lets re-open this discussion after we release the final 3.0 at the end of this week. And we can pick a common java version for all. (I'd also like to look into common datasets, and other common installs too, like tomcat)
