Nicholas,
Great to see that the Zoo project will be able to join the OSGeoLive DVD, and even better to hear you would be able to make use of it at your FOSS4G Workshop.

Can you please do the following:
Now: Add your project to our status page, filling in as many of the columns and you can at the moment, see the ColumnDescriptions tab for advice.

By this Monday 5 July: Write and test an install_zoo.sh script. Look for a script for a similar application to copy at:
https://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/livedvd/gisvm/trunk/bin
You will have time to refine this script over the next few weeks.

By 26 August: Complete your documentation

Throughout - test the installed application to make sure it works on the OSGeo Live DVD as you expect.

Dear Cameron,

Thanks for your email.

The ZOO developement team would be very glad to include ZOO 1.0 in OSGeoLive.

It is very nice for a freshly released product to be included in the LiveDVD. It will also be very useful for our ZOO Workshop, to be held on sept 6th !

I confirm you can add ZOO 1.0 in the feature freeze. We will provide all the required material before the deadline. By the way, could you please tell us when and how the installation script and packages must be provided ?

I just had a look to http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Add_Project to learn more on the procedure

    Hello Zoo developers,
I'd love to see Zoo feature on the OSGeo Live DVD this year, and
would love it even more if OSGeoLive was used as part of a Zoo
    presentation at FOSS4G.

As noted below, we have a feature freeze in a week. It looks
likely that we may have a 52 North WPS on the DVD, and a UDig client.

Should we expect to see something from Zoo as well?

In one week, we will be locking in software versions on this
    year's OSGeo-Live DVD <http://live.osgeo.org>, which will be
handed to every delegate at FOSS4G 2010 <http://2010.foss4g.org>,
as well as many other Geospatial events. At the OSGeo stand at
conferences, the OSGeo-Live DVD is by far the most sought after
marketing item we have, with delegates consistently asking for
    extra copies.

So please ensure that all install scripts are pointing at the
latest stable software, and if you wish to see your favorite
stable OSGeo application on OSGeo-Live, then contact us right now.
