Looks like the problem is in gpsdrive Ln 208-211, those files names have changed on the server (Though it appears to have been that way for a month at least according to the file timestamp)
Hamish - any reason we can't just use the built in Ubuntu packages? I'll wait to hear from you on a fix for this since you know this script well.
