Andrea,
At the moment, the OSGeo stack, and OSGeoLive in particular, is not well
represented in the mobile space.
It would be good to change that.
I assume the Android emulator is Open Source?
What would be involved in if we were to include an android emulator?
What would be the impact to memory usage?
What would be the impact to disk usage?
Would it perform well?

Ready yes, we have now used ti for a year in our surveys.
Appropriate I am afraid not, since it is based on the android system
and it would require to start an emulator on the livedvd. But then
again it would miss them main features, which are the gps based
features.
What do you think?

Is Geopaparazzi an application which is appropriate (and ready) to be

The next release will be ~ March / April.

Dear colleagues,
today we finally released the first version of Geopaparazzi on the
android market. The project is released under GPLv3 an available on
the homepage of the project [0].
Geopaparazzi is a tool developed to supprot very fast qualitative
engineering/geologic surveys. It integrates completely with the BeeGIS
digital tablet extentions, i.e. the data are imported straight into
the GIS from the phone for further processing [1].
Geopaparazzi is sold on the Android market and supports the
development of Geopaprazzi itself as well as the projects developed by
the same team: JGrass, JGrassTools and BeeGIS.
That said, I leave you to the documentation on the main website.
Thanks for the attention,
Andrea
