In the last release, someone suggested that we should be packaging worldwind - a 3D spinning globe like Google Earth.

My first email to some WorldWind email addresses didn't seem to get through, so I've sent the following message to one of the forums. If anyone else has ideas about what we should do in order to get WorldWind onto OSGeo-Live, then feel free to speak up.

Hi,
I'm one of the coordinators of the OSGeo-Live DVD project [1], and I'm looking for help to bundle WorldWind into the OSGeo-Live DVD.

In OSGeo-Live, we bundle over 40 of the best GeoSpatial Open Source applications onto an Ubuntu based DVD. We also include a one page Overview, and 5 to 10 minute Quickstart for each application. For the next release, we have people translating documentation in 6 different languages.

The DVD is handed out at numerous international GeoSpatial conferences to promote GeoSpatial Open Source to new users, and it is now increasingly being used in Open Source workshops and tutorials.

What I'm looking for is some people who are familiar with WorldWind who can help write our Overview and Quickstart documentation. (We have straight forward templates to follow [2]). Also, we'd like someone who know how to install WorldWind on Linux to help us build an install script.

If you think you may be able to help, could you please get in contact with me.
