Hi Massimo,

Thanks for the info on ossim. It would be preferable to have this fixed upstream.

About the vbox issue: no I am not getting the same problem. Have you installed the additions yourself or did you use the ubuntu proposed driver?

the ossim stuff will not works on 12.04 using the default osg 3.x
the dev need to adapt the code to run with osg 3.x (ossim is stuck on 2.8)
… an hack for me will be to build osg2.8 and store only the needed lib the
binary pkg … but this will increase the pkg size.

i mailed the ossim list to worn them about this.

Massimo.

i've a runing vm 12.04 to test the live build too. (it gives me problem with
the vbox additions, the mouse pointer has a bad offset .. anyone with the same

everyone ready to update trunk to xubuntu 12.04?

better that we wait on projects rather than projects wait on
us.
Alex:
Biggest delay right now is that Ubuntugis isn't up to
Precise yet.
the wheels are now in motion. they'll catch up.

Angelos:
From what I see, until we have precise target in ubuntugis
repository, we can only test installation on packages that
are not included there...
yup, but there are a bunch of those.

(and fwiw contributing projects need to vet their own scripts,
& not wait for us to tell them that they're broken)

I am testing the install_mysql script and I see there is no mysql-admin package.
I am commenting it out for now...

Until now I have reviewed:

setup.sh
install_services.sh
install_mysql.sh
install_java.sh
install_apache2.sh
install_tomkat6.sh

For Java, I added the default JDK for ubuntu 12.04 which is default-jdk ==
openjdk-6-jdk
Is there a reason we want openjdk-7 apart from being a newer version? Why
version 6 is still the default in ubuntu?
Thoughts?

Angelos

More updates:

install_geoserver.sh
install_geomajas.sh
install_geonetwork.sh
install_pycsw.sh

All the above scripts work ok.

Also tested deegree installation and it works but there is an issue stopping
the service. I think this will be fixed since there is a new stable version of
deegree to use for 6.0.
