Hi Carsten and welcome to the list.
The JOSM application is installed using the following script.
http://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/livedvd/gisvm/trunk/bin/install_osm.sh
Perhaps you can update this script to include the latest version and
rerun it to your installation.

links provided by the window it sends me to the JOSM page and I can
download the .jar-file.
Well I can start the most recent version like that but it does not update
the old one.
Any ideas/workaround?
