Then this is a bug. The md5sum.txt file in the root of the iso should have been recalculated after the addition of the extra files, or, if it is impossible to know the checksum before writing the iso, the md5sum.txt file should be grepped with -v isolinux.bin before writing it. Leaving a wrong checksum in the file is confusing indicating an error where there may not be one.
