the opencpn.png icon can be found on the disc in
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/opencpn.png
there is an empty file in gisvm/bin/ and /usr/share/icons/.
I think if the Icon= line in opencpn.desktop is shortened to simply:
Icon=opencpn
it should work.
