Hi everybody!

I use the live library for my master thesis project and encountered the
following problem.
Everytime when I receive two different streams over multicast these two streams
get merged.
I have two different senders which use different multicast addresses but the
same port number.
(e.g.
sender 1: ip: 239.255.42.42 port: 5008
sender 2: ip: 239.255.42.43 port: 5008
)

I have allready searched for solutions, but I couldn't find a proper one for me.
Some people say that the OS is to blame for such an incident (Ubuntu 7.10).
But when I used the vlc, everything worked fine and I had no merging effect.
(I used vlc 0.8.6c Janus)

Usage of the live library:

I used the classes testMPEG1or2VideoReceiver and testMPEG1or2VideoStreamer and
started four different processes to simulate two senders and two receivers.
As I mentioned it before I used two different ip addresses and the same port
number.

For my first test case I didn't use source specific multicast. The result was
the merging effect.
For the second one I used SSM and got only one stream, altough I expected two
different streams.

Perhaps someone of you can help me. I don't have a clue what went wrong.

By the way: When I use two different port numbers everthing works fine.
