For logging, my impression of Live555 thus far is that it's hit-or-miss, and there isn't much granularity to the logging that does happen. Most of it is a result of compile-time switches. I think the primary purpose of Live555 is a light-weight, embedded RTSP server (and also RTP stack). It's generally full featured, but I could see an enterprise user thinking's it's a bit lacking (it's certainly not a Darwin or Wowza--but those products also don't run on a 200 MHZ ARM part either).
