I am streaming a video using live555 and client as vlc.
If I specify explicitly that my bandwidth is this much (from vlc to
live555) what action does the live555 media server will take?
Is anything related to this is defined in the implementation, by
considering avaialble bandwidth?
No.
However, what you could do is have your server make available two or
more different streams - with different bitrates - using different
stream names. A client could then - if it wishes - select whichever
stream it wants, using the appropriate stream name in the "rtsp://"
URL.
