Heavy snows close off Antelope Valley Heavy snow has closed off the Antelope Valley, with most major roads into the Lancaster/Palmdale area shutdown including the 14 Freeway, Highway 138 and Sierra Highway. Snow has closed roads across the high desert including Highway 18 and the 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass. Authorities said snow has been falling too fast for them to keep up.
