For what it may be worth, for the last couple of months, Google has
been redirecting me to advertising pages. If I hit "History"
then "Google results" it taked me back to the search page. Clicking
again on the desired link then takes me to the page I want.
Clicking "Back" doesn't work as it just steers me to the "redirect"
page. I've assumed (with the usual warning about asumptions) that it
was simply an advertising ploy, which is why I now use Lycos for
searches. This seems to happen on my home computer, but not the one at
work (go figure).

Google searches seem to be disabled on a global basis: Clicking on any
search results takes me not to the page in question but to a Google
page advising of the risks of malware… Am monitoring posts from
Australia , Canada , UK , USA with same info.. Search for CNN on Google
produced following message: CNN.com - Breaking News, U.S., World,
Weather, Entertainment ... This site may harm your computer.
31 Jan 2009 ... CNN.com delivers the latest breaking news and
information on the latest top stories, weather, business,
entertainment, politics, and more. Clicking on CNN takes me to a Google
page advising of the risks of malware. Yahoo! Searches seem to be
functioning normally. Be well. Practice big medicine. Hal
