Staff at Winnipeg hospitals were kept extra busy throughout Monday treating people who sustained injuries in falls because of icy conditions caused by one of the worst ice storms in recent memory. Freezing rain across southern Manitoba halted highway traffic, delayed air travel and caused spot power outages early Monday morning.
