Sheriff encourages residents that live in evacuation areas to leave
before the storm starts. Boat rescues will soon be halted in
preparation for the storm. National Guard Rapid Response to take over
more emergency response, allowing city workers to focus on snow clean
up. City of Fargo asks non-essential businesses to stay closed through
Tuesday to limit traffic on roads.



A spring storm moving into Minnesota could dump more than a foot of
snow in some areas. The National Weather Service says snow and blowing
snow could make travel difficult in much of the state. Officials trying
to contain flooding along the Red River are watching the storm,
especially for wind gusts that could cause waves.
