FWIW, Gmail allows you to get up a rather nice Web based Email account for free, and their SPAM filter seems to work very very well.
But more important, esp to those who do not have continuous Internet access (and hence find it difficult to use Web based Email accounts effectively), GMail allows you to access (both send and receive) your Email using 'Old Fashion' SMTP/POP3 protocols. That is how I am sending this Email now. Have never even looked at the Email account my ISP set up for me :-), and my Email name will not change as I change ISPs (err, unless Gmail makes some major change in their TOS) With POP3/SMTP you can use Outlook, Pegasus, and any other computer based Email program. Free, usable, good filters, and no charge POP3 access. Could one ask for more? -al- _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
