Hello all,
I have a sailboat with a manual Simpson Lawrence windlass. It has worked
extremely well until just recently. I took it apart and found a set of
one-way free-wheel-sprockets had lost pieces internally and would no longer
work consistently. I have searched the web and have found only one source for
parts. The problem I'm having is that my unit (model 380001, the first unit?)
seems to be a bit different than normal. The sprocket assembly seems to be
welded/soldered to the main shaft. If so, I'll also need the main shaft
assembly.
So my questions are:
Does anyone on this list have information on this windlass?, and if so,
would you be willing to share your information?
Is there another source for parts for this unit?
