There was a long discussion on heating on the list some time ago and the
result was that hydronic, circulating water, heated by diesel oil, was
considered the best heating system.

Hi,
Snips....
We are investigating the potential for a voyage to the Artic circle in 2009.
At the moment I’m trying to decide on the Most efficient heating system.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.Rit
I personally do not. However as a suggestion and some good reading there
is/was a non fiction book circa 1999 about a couple that took their s/v to
the arctic all winter. The wife had to be air lifted out.....Their first
trip was up the coast similar to what you mention.as I recall. It was a
good read as mentioned and the technical detailing was good. Sorry I cannot
recall the title.
