I am looking into the possiblity of putting a radiant floor into our Hatteras. We already have an ITR Hurricane 2 Hydronic Heater with four zones. After pulling up the carpet 1 1/2 weeks ago, we have to lay in a new floor. Since i already have most of the work and materials done for the floor it seems, it looks to be a good possiblity.
Figuring on taking up the subfloor, putting down some insulation under it. Replacing said floor the routing out the runs for the plex tubing (around the myriad of hatches) so each area will be run on its own. I intend on tapping the heaters coolant lines (it heats a 50/50 mix of coolant) after the blower units to alleviate too much heat to the flooring. Then laying a new wood floor (engineered) over the top.
